Hobbee Playa Moped - Burn Rental
For the first-time ever, Joulvert is offering Playa Bike rental in collaboration with Hobbee who have provided a limited fleet of High Performance Electric Mopeds available for rental during the festival. The combination of the Hobbee Moped fleet and Joulvert's existing Reno infrastructure means that burners will be provided with a best-in-class collection experience during Joulvert's Pop-Up Event at the Reno Convention Center. Drop off post-festival will also be facilitated in Reno-Sparks.
Prior to collection, all purchasers will be required to sign a rental agreement and pay a $500 deposit that will be released upon return of the bike in working order. All information will be communicated prior to the Pop-Up Event.

Reno Collection
All Playa Moped Rentals will be collected from our Pop-Up Event, details below.

Playa Terms
Upon collection, all individuals will be required to sign a rental agreement and pay a $500 deposit, which will be released immediately upon return of the bike in working order. All accessories must be purchased separately on our website, these are not available for rental. We recommend purchasing a lock and a rear seat cushion if you are planning to ride with other individuals :)
Reno Drop-Off
Post-Festival the rental bikes must be dropped to the below location. All rentals should be cleaned by the individuals prior to drop-off otherwise a $100 deep cleaning fee will be charged per-bike. Post purchase of the rental program, the team will reach out with information of logistics :)

FAQ
How does the Fully Refundable Deposit work?
The Deposit is Fully Refundable until 30 June 2024. You will receive an invoice for the outstanding balance for the bike on 1 July 2024. All outstanding balances must be settled before 15 July 2024, after this date your Playa Bike reservation is surrendered and your preferred choice is no longer guaranteed as available for collection at the Joulvert Reno Pop-Up Event.
Will my Playa Bike make it to the Reno Collection Event in time?
Our last shipment for a guaranteed collection at our pop-up is on the 15th of August. At the the Reno Collection Event we will have a more limited selection of bikes and batteries available for purchase and collection for those who did not order in advance.
Our Reno Pop-Up is located at the Reno Convention Centre from 19-27th of August, from 10 am - 8 pm. Collection at an earlier date can be requested from the team at info@joulvert.com.
Is the Hobbee Moped easy to assemble?
The Hobbee Moped can be assembled and tuned in c. 2-3 hours by an individual with prior experience working on mechanical bikes.
No experience of electrical systems is required however if you don't have prior experience of fitting and tuning brakes we would recommend you include Professional Assembly with your order so that your bike is safely tuned and quality assured before heading to the Playa. Many encounter issues from poor personal assembly so it's better to be sure.

What do I do with my bike after the Festival?
Joulvert offers an in-house storage and battery maintenance solution in Reno, Nevada, for electric and non-electric bikes of any brand.
Our service includes detailed post-playa cleaning, maintenance, and repair of your bike before the next festival (all repair costs are invoiced separately). Our team provide routine battery charging to optimize battery operational life ahead of the next year's Festival.
