We know that getting to the Playa can be a monumental task in itself, and that's without worrying about getting an Electric Bike across the US or World and into the Black Rock Desert. Our Annual Pop-Up Event at The Reno Convention Center August 26th - September 1st (earlier or later collection can be scheduled by contacting support@joulvert.com) provides a seamless collection experience en-route to the Playa. Your Playa Bikes, Batteries and Accessories will be professionally assembled by our technicians and waiting for a quick collection. Our team will provide a detailed tuition on how to operate the bike and some tips to keep it safe so you have no unexpected surprises when you hit the dust.

As you can imagine shipping Electric Bikes is not cheap, with most brands you will spend between $150 and $250 on shipping. When you buy a Joulvert Playa Bike, we cover the shipping cost, so you simply collect with no additional expense only hours from the festival. STRESSED ABOUT GETTING YOUR BIKE HOME?
We offer our Annual Storage Service for burners so you can simply drop your playa bikes to us after the festival, we then complete a detailed cleaning and maintain your battery with periodic charging cycles so you can simply arrive at our Pop-Up Event next year, grab your bike and go hit the Dust worry free.

Limited Stock Availibility
For the first-time ever, Joulvert is offering Playa Bike rental in collaboration with Hobbee who have provided a limited fleet of High Performance Electric Mopeds available for rental during the festival. The combination of the Hobbee Moped fleet and Joulvert's existing Reno infrastructure means that burners will be provided with a best-in-class collection experience during Joulvert's Pop-Up Event at the Reno Convention Center. Drop off post-festival will also be facilitated in Reno-Sparks.
The Original Playa eBike
The latest generation of Joulvert’s classic Playa Bike features a compact 3-part folding frame and removable lithium-ion battery, providing the ultimate transportable bike for those with smaller RVs and cars. The water- and dust-proof silicon-sealed electric system is coupled together with dual-shock suspension and a powerful 500W rear hub motor to unlock the Playa for you and your passenger
Explore the edges of the Playa on the Joulvert Desert. Remade from the ground up, the new Desert rolls on balloon wheels for better shock absorption, with 4-inch rims and matching 4-inch off-road tires — a wider, tougher footprint with thicker spokes to handle the playa surface. Its 750W rear-hub motor and removable lithium-ion battery pair with an 4" LCD display, USB phone charger, and key-locked ignition, while the heavy-duty frame carries up to 350 lbs. Built-in headlight, horn, and motion-sensing rear LED come standard. Select from the listed battery ranges and colors; every bike includes a charger. Range estimates assume medium pedal assistance. Our welded rear rack is strong enough to carry an adult up to 160lbs.

Playa Storage & Maintenance
Joulvert offers annual storage in Reno to burners who do not want to travel home with their Playa bikes, this price is for 1-year of storage for 1-bike (only $30/month).
We will do the detailed cleaning of the bike post-festival but any heavy dust must first be removed prior to drop off at our storage location.
Please note a few key considerations
- Your Playa Bike can't be accessed throughout the year
- Renewal is automatic unless otherwise requested
- The bike should be dropped off to the storage location fully charged
- Joulvert is not responsible for any repairs/maintenance of bikes left post festival. If your bike needs work you, will be sent an estimated cost of repair.

Is my bike guaranteed to be ready for collection?
Absolutely, all of our bikes that are instock are already located in our Reno warehouse
Do the rental bikes come fully assembled?
Yes, all our rental bikes are assembled by our technicians and inspected before handover to ensure a reliable ride on the playa
Can i purchase a bike at the collection event without pre-purchase?
We will have very limited stock availible for purchase at our collection event at the convention centre, so to avoid dissapointment we highly reccomend pre-purchase online.
When and where am i able to collect my bike from?
Our collection event is at the Reno Convention Center from 21st August to 1st September 2026. If you would like to collect prior to this, please purchase and then contact us via our chat on our website to specify what day.
